Very functional kitchen design and the windows

This looks to be a very functional kitchen design and the windows make this room very open an airy. The function of the sink and the stove being in a reasonable proximaty I think adds to the function of the kitchen. I do wonder where the fridge is and the perspective here may be off but with the integrated island and bar I can see myself zipping around this space and enjoying it.

Very light Granite Countertops with a dark cabinet and stainless appliances is a very popular combination. This gives the room a very modern look. The focus is more on the cabinets. In this case and from this photo the backsplash is a bit to random and out of place. I think some more thought on the backsplash would balance the kitchen a bit better.

Granite Countertops with a full backsplash and laminated edging

Here is an example of Granite Countertops with a full backsplash and laminated edging. This definatly creates focus on the granite and the texture created. The Island looks to have a double edge meaning that the granite has been laminated together to create the look of a thinker stone. This will add cost to your job but does give the opportunity to really show off some detail in the edging.

Nice color balance with this kitchen design

Nice color balance with this kitchen design. The granite has a nice color tone and highlights that pull in the cabinet color. The light neutral color of the walls brighten the room and the cabinet extensions give the kitchen its presence.

This is more a southern style kitchen

This is more a southern style kitchen. The countertops look to be your contractor grade oak and the countertop is a very light stone. Some rich accents from the accessories brings in a little color. Personal opinion is that this kitchen is not very balanced with all the appliances stuffed in the the corner in the back.
